Bassendean Memorial Library just turned 20… and we still don’t look a day over Dewey Decimal 001!
Huge thanks to everyone who came along to celebrate our big birthday, including our Mayor Kathryn Hamilton, our CEO Cameron Woods, our much-loved patrons, and the man/myth/legend himself: former Library Manager Allan Caddy.
We feasted on cake and fairy bread (the real heroes of any party), struck our best poses in the photo booth, and had Elsa painting faces and Ana twisting balloons
To our loyal patrons: you are the main characters of our story. Whether you borrow one book a year or have a library haul every week, YOU give this place a pulse and we would not be here without you.
And of course… MASSIVE appreciation for our brilliant library staff who keep this place running, shining, and filled with joy every single day!
