CODE OF CONDUCT

The Code of Conduct will help us to achieve a higher level of service, facilitating a mutual respect and a commitment to the responsible use of our fabulous facilities.

By definition, a ‘Code of Conduct’ is a standard policy upheld by all eSmart libraries, allowing both staff and library patrons to engage with digital services and technology in a responsible and safe manner.

BORROWING RULES AND CONDITIONS

  1. A Library card is required for all loans.  
  2. Report lost or stolen cards immediately; patrons are responsible for items borrowed.
  3. Please return items in good condition by the due date.
  4. Parents or guardians must be present and supervise children under the age of 12 years old in the library at all times, including supervising children's resources and internet use. 
  5. Members must pay for or replace lost or damaged items.
  6. The Library does not censor materials. 

LIBRARY COLLECTION DEVELOPMENT POLICY

The Library Collection Development Policy to provide guidance on the effective acquisition, management and decommissioning of the Town’s library stock/collection in a manner that supports the informational, educational, recreational, and cultural needs of the community.
