Volunteer in Bassendean

Are you eager to make a positive impact in your community but not sure where to begin? The Town of Bassendean is here to help!

From 4 June 2025, Volunteer Services has a new home, right inside the Bassendean Memorial Library. Every Wednesday, a dedicated Town staff member will be available by appointment to chat with you about the many volunteering opportunities available.

Whether you love driving, getting outdoors, or prefer quieter, indoor tasks, there’s a role to match your skills, interests, and schedule:

  • Enjoy driving? Help with our volunteer transport bus service or become a driver mentor for young people through the RYDE program.
  • Love the outdoors? Join one of our bush care groups or lend a hand at community events.
  • Prefer the indoors? Assist in the library with cataloguing, selecting books for the home delivery service, or helping community members with technology.

Not seeing the perfect fit? No problem. We can connect you with other local organisations that need volunteers like you.

Volunteering is a powerful way to give back while also gaining new skills, building confidence, making friends, and boosting your mental health.

Ready to get started? Complete our Expression of Interest form and we’ll be in touch to set up an appointment. For more information, contact us on 9377 2191 or at [email protected]
