Bassendean Memorial Library is delighted to welcome back local author, Rachael Johns. Rachael is currently Australia’s leading writer of contemporary relationship stories around women’s issues, a genre she has coined ‘life-lit’. Rachael has been a finalist in a number of competitions, including the Australian Romance Readers Awards. The Patterson Girls won the 2015 Australian Book Industry Award for General Fiction and also the 2016 Romance Writers of Australia RUBY Award. Rachael continually places in Booktopia’s Top 50 Aussie Authors poll. Rachael will be discussing her new book 'The Work Wives' as well her motivations as a writer to keep on creating.
