We’re proud to announce that Bassendean Memorial Library and the Town of Bassendean are now part of the Sunflower Network, supporting people with hidden disabilities in our community.
Not all disabilities are visible, and this can make it hard for others to understand when someone needs extra help or time. To promote awareness and inclusivity, the Hidden Disabilities Sunflower was created.
From Wednesday 3rd of December, Sunflower lanyards will be available to customers in Bassendean Memorial Library and the Town’s Customer Service Centre, which means that those living with a hidden disability can make their disability visible, ensuring staff can provide the support and adjustments Sunflower wearers may need.
