How to publish an eBook workshop - Free

Past Event

This workshop is designed to introduce writers to the skills and resources they will need to make their published work shine, which will take away much of the uncertainty of publishing. It is facilitated by the Bassendean Writer’s group.

This e workshop has three parts, which are: ‘Editing and a writer’s passion and potential’, ‘The joy of a finely crafted eBook’, and ‘Finding a books destiny – developing a book marketing plan’.
Part 1: Editing and a writer’s passion and potential
A writer who wishes to publish their manuscript should engage a professional editor. In this workshop, the skills for selecting an editor who matches their writing goals and can provide the services they need will be discussed and practiced.

Part 2: The joy of a finely crafted eBook’
Despite how easy it has become to produce a paperback using Print On Demand (POD), eBooks still offer significant advantages for the self-published author.
In this workshop participants will be provided with the skills and knowledge to enable them to produce an eBook that will work well, and look good on a variety of devices and screens. This includes a sound knowledge of the limitations associated with producing an eBook.

Part 3: Finding a books destiny – developing a book marketing plan
In this part of the workshop, participants will discuss and practice skills for creating an effective book marketing plan, which will enable them to get their book to find its destiny without them relinquishing any creative potential.

There are 2 sessions. Participants are encouraged to attend both sessions as the e-publishing information is given in a sequential, beginning to end process.
