Beginners Tai chi at the library

Past Event

Join us at the library for an 8-week live streaming program with an on-screen Tai chi teacher. You may book for the entire program or just one class.
Learn in a group the benefits of Tai chi and why it is seen as a superior healing art. The chi of tai chi is the cornerstone of this healing; a specific way of using the power or the mind to generate and emit internal energy within the body. With correct training, over time the chi increases and becomes very strong and can help prevent and heal injuries, sickness, reduce stress as well as enhance any physical activity. In Tai chi classes, most people can feel the chi with in one to three lessons. It feels like a warm, magnetic tingling buzzing sensation and is very rare in the West and better known and well respected in China. Tai chi is performed in a slow and controlled way to receive the beneficial health benefits.
Participants are asked to be in good, general health as this is a movement-based practice that is performed standing.  Please wear comfortable clothing and footwear and bring a bottle of water.
