It's Children's Book Week 2018!
The theme this year is 'Find Your Treasure' and in the month of August, we at Bassendean Memorial Library have decided to do all things piratey.
Avast ye all you bilge rats and scurvy dogs, come into the library as vast treasures await ye there.
For you land lubbers there shall be-
- a chance to strike your colours with a colouring competition and win a dancin, talkin minion.
- a mad plunder of our books as ye search for the hidden golden doubloons and if ye find them, a chance for reading booty. The gold doubloons can be placed in our mighty treasure chest where they will await a prize draw.
- Design your own Jolly Roger flag and we shall hoist it high and display it in the library.
So come and visit us in the month of August and there will no quarter given. Pirate books, pirate activities; enough loot to warm the hearts of every lass and lad. We may keelhaul ye, but ye will love very minute of it!!!
All things piratey will run from Wednesday 1st August, till Friday 31st Of August.
