Code of Conduct

The Code of Conduct will help us to achieve a higher level of service, facilitating a mutual respect and a commitment to the responsible use of our fabulous facilities.

By definition, a ‘Code of Conduct’ is a standard policy upheld by all eSmart libraries, allowing both staff and library patrons to engage with digital services and technology in a responsible and safe manner.

BORROWING RULES AND CONDITIONS

  1. A Library card is required to borrow items; resources cannot be removed from the building unless they are registered as a loan.

  1. All items need to be returned on or before the due date in good condition as patrons may be required to pay the replacement cost for damaged or lost items. A non-refundable administration fee will be charged for overdue items.
  1. The Library does not censor resources used, borrowed or accessed from the library.
  1. Parents/Guardians are responsible for their child’s resource selection and in the monitoring of library resource and Internet use.
