Annual Library History Lecture - Swan River currents and connections : realising a 2029 bicentenary
Gina Pickering, Director of Latitude Creative Servicesis an award-winning writer, curator and content producer. She has contributed to tourism and historical interpretation in Western Australia and works closely with Noongar Elders leading to unique cultural outcomes for community and visitors.
Gina has contributed to the cultural understanding of the Swan and Canning Rivers through projects and programs including:
- Developing the statement of significance for the Swan River, marli riverpark|Interpretation Plan for the Swan and Canning Rivers.
- The Rivers of Emotion project.
- Fanny Balbuk Yooreel: realising a Perth resistance fighter.
- Documentaries on significant Western Australian artists such as Laurel Nannup and Jo Darbyshire.
