River Walk 2019 (free!)
Residents and visitors….. you are invited to stroll along the Swan River in Bassendean from Point Reserve to Success Hill Reserve and return to Point Reserve with an experienced volunteer guide. Learn about local history including interesting people, architecture and natural features. Find out about the road and railway bridges, floods, early residents and aboriginal history. Six sessions are planned from February to November 2019 and additional River Walks may be available at other times by request (subject to the guide’s availability). Provided by the Town of Bassendean, participants walk at their own risk. Duration 2 hours. Contact the Local Studies Librarian at Bassendean Memorial Library for more information.
